Travelers who visit the San Francisco Bay area in California will soon have an opportunity to learn about the thrilling subject of space exploration. Recently, The W Foundation (TWF) announced its plans to open a new permanent space exhibit inside the Pacheco Plaza this November.
Over the summer, TWF hosted a two-day event that showcased various aspects of space travel, which was displayed inside empty retail spots throughout the shopping center. More than 600 attendees enjoying this celebration of space exploration, so TWF made moves to create a permanent exhibition.
An opening ceremony will occur in October, attended by esteemed astronauts Dick Gordon, Rick Searfoss and John Herrington. The entire initiative will be available to local residents and travelers the following month.
TWF is a company that owns a massive private collection of space travel artifacts from programs in the U.S., Russia and the old Soviet Union. This non-profit organization has funded projects throughout the country and is overlooked by a board of space experts, including retired astronauts and celebrities.
