As passionate travelers, we browse the Internet for inspiration about where to go next. Barrages of images come streaming towards us on websites everywhere. In fact, as a travel writer I often wonder whether people read my articles, or just look at the visuals around them. And by visuals, I mean still AND moving.
While some years back you had to resort to a TV travel channel to view inspiring travel videos, you can now access moving images online without a problem. In fact, thanks to YouTube and Vimeo, it has become easier than ever for you to contribute your own travel videos. And that’s precisely what many travelers have been doing.
Recent trends have it that many of them are going back to basics. By that I mean back to the origins of film, when it was evidently composed by separate shots. Nowadays, this trend is called time-lapse photography, where you string together images to make a film.
